Abu Dhabi, on the southern coast of the Persian Gulf, is the federal capital and most populous emirate of the United Arab Emirates.
Launched in 2000, Abu Dhabi TV presents news programs every three hours. It produces nearly 90% of the programs that it broadcasts, including political, current affairs, cultural, entertainment, drama, and documentary features. Abu Dhabi TV is broadcast throughout the Middle East, North America, Europe, and will soon reach South America, and Australia.

Abu Dhabi TV's cooperation with CICC has just started this year. The first co-production between the two is called China Impression, a 120-minute documentary about China's culture, scenery and development.
Abu Dhabi TV is managed by the United Arab Emirates' largest media group, Emirates Media Inc. (EMI). EMI, the largest and most diversified media corporation in the Arab world, enjoys editorial and administrative independence while somewhat dependent on government funding through its attachment to the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Information and Culture.
