I.M. Pei and the Transformation of an Ancient City

The world-known architect I.M. Pei returned to his hometown Suzhou with his two sons at the age of 85 and designed a world-class art gallery there -- the new Suzhou Museum.
It's the biggest challenge, probably the last one for me. said I.M. Pei. The 3 hour documentary tells this story, covering Chinese cultures, history, modernization, globalization, architectures, city layout, landscape design as well as I.M. Pei's personal feelings.
It is a complete documentary for this great architect. Each chapter studies the Chinese city layout and scenery designing on the base of Chinese history and culture. I.M. Pei's story of designing the museum is well preserved in the series.
