China's first emperor, Emperor Qingshihuang, has always been an important person in Chinese movies and literature. The western audience will come to know this era- making emperor as well as the inviting Warring States Period (475 BC to 221 BC) after appreciating this two chapter TV series. Emperor Qingshihuang conquered the other six kingdoms, rebuilt the Great Wall, and standardized the measurements, written characters and currency, thus unifying China as a huge empire for the first time. He planned to build an ever lasting empire though; his dynasty collapsed only a few years after his death. The audiences will be brought to his Mausoleum and the mysterious underground Qing Army -- the terracotta warriors by means of the 3D computer technologies, which is obviously a very good opportunity for them to tour one of the seven miracles in the human civilization.

After decades of warfare among the kingdoms then, people suffered a lot and got tired of the wars. From 236 BC, Qingshihuang started his epoch making unifying efforts. He finally made it at the age of 38 and crowned himself as the first emperor in the Chinese history. Actually Qingshigunag in Chinese means the first emperor. Most people believe that the Great Wall was built by Emperor Qingshihuang. But as a matter of fact the Wall had already been in existence before him for long. After his empire had been established, he had the old Wall connected and strengthened as a huge defensive project against the Hun in the North. When rebuilding the Great Wall another two costly projects -- Erpang Palace and his own Mausoleum were also under construction. This Mausoleum, covering a land area of seven square km, deserves our special attention. It took 700,000 people more than 37 years and has not been opened until today due to the fear of failure to protect it in open air. Therefore there are still numerous mysteries and secrets unsolved in this huge underground royal palace.
