China never lacks architectural wonders in its thousands of year's history, taking the ancient Great Wall and the modern Three Gorges Dam as good examples. The latest wonder of this kind is the Qinghai-Tibet Railway 4,000 meters above the sea level. This project constitutes a crucial part of China's ambitious plan to boost its less-developed region. It is a railroad that built in the toughest natural environment.

This great project with a total investment of 2.5 billion US dollars started in 2001 and completed in 2006. The railways has a total length of 1,100 kilometers. The documentary begins with the hardest key project-the Fenghuo Mountain Tunnel, depicting the Chinese engineers' great efforts to conquer unimaginable natural and technological hardship. And their success in solving the relevant ecological problem, in particular the protection of local wild animals, is another highlight. ¡¡
